[Saba Sports News] French forward Guerschon Yabusele is aiming for an NBA comeback after his standout performance at the Paris Olympics.
Yabusele, who helped lead France to a second straight silver medal in men’s basketball, posted on X, “Been waiting for a 2nd chance.. I’m ready 😤🧸“.
Currently under contract with Real Madrid, he has an NBA buyout of $2.5 million, according to Marc Stein.
Drafted 16th overall by the Boston Celtics in 2016, Yabusele struggled to find his footing in the NBA, averaging just 2.3 points and 1.4 rebounds per game before leaving the league in 2019.
However, after several years in Europe, he’s back on the radar following his strong Olympic showing, where he averaged 14.3 points per game and delivered a highlight-reel poster dunk on LeBron James in the gold medal game.
Despite a past headline-grabbing EuroLeague brawl, Yabusele’s impressive performance in Paris suggests he may still have another NBA chapter ahead.
