[Saba Sports News] According to Italian media reports, AC Milan forward Niclas Füllkrug’s hotel was robbed, with watches and jewelry valued at approximately €500,000 stolen. Füllkrug joined AC Milan during the winter transfer window and has been performing well since his arrival. Following his transfer, he was accommodated in a high-end hotel, with the intention of providing a safe space for the new signing in his new environment. Unfortunately, the hotel was not secure.
On Wednesday morning, Füllkrug left the hotel to attend training at AC Milan’s training facility. Upon his return, he discovered that his room had been burglarized. The room’s safe had been forcibly opened, and thieves stole watches and jewelry worth about €500,000. Füllkrug did not insure these valuable items, but the lax security measures of the hotel will bear some responsibility. The police are investigating the case.
AC Milan has typically been very cautious in selecting partner hotels, and this theft may affect future cooperation between the hotel and AC Milan. Additionally, there is a possibility that internal hotel staff collaborated with the thieves, as such situations are not uncommon.
