[Saba Sports News] During a recent appearance on SiriusXM NBA Radio, ESPN’s Bobby Marks suggested that Giannis Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Future in Milwaukee Tied to Jrue Holiday
ks could depend on Jrue Holiday’s future with the team.
Marks believes that the financial aspect doesn’t favor Giannis signing an extension, and Holiday’s status will be a significant factor.
Marks explained, “I don’t think Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to sign an extension because it doesn’t make sense financially. I would be concerned based on what happens with Jrue Holiday. I think that’s going to be the X-factor… What does Milwaukee do with him? If they lose him, they’re going to be in deep trouble.”
Jrue Holiday plays a pivotal role in the Bucks, both defensively and offensively, and is highly regarded in the locker room. However, at 33 years old and with 14 seasons under his belt, any new contract for Holiday must align with the Bucks’ financial constraints, especially considering the league’s punitive luxury tax situation.
While the Bucks have already secured deals with key players like Middleton and Lopez, Antetokounmpo’s future with the team may hinge on whether Holiday signs an extension.
