[Saba Sports News] According to Portuguese media, Viktor Gyokeres has personally informed Sporting CP president Frederico Valandas that he will no longer wish to play for the team. Gyokeres wants to start a new chapter, and he feels heartbroken after the team violated the gentleman’s agreement. He is expected not to return for training. According to previous reports, Gyokeres’ agent had reached a gentlemen’s agreement with the club for a 60 million euro transfer plus 10 million euros in add-ons, but the president of Sporting CP denied it, stating he only said the club wouldn’t ask for 100 million euros. Valandas’ attitude left the player’s camp feeling betrayed and disrespected. The tense relationship has had a negative impact on future transfer negotiations. Previously, Gyokeres said he wanted to prove himself on the Champions League stage, and he performed well in that competition this season. Therefore, he is eager to join Arsenal. However, Arsenal is dissatisfied with the high price and has become impatient with the prolonged negotiation process, and their interest has quickly faded. According to Portuguese media, Arsenal has grown tired of the situation and has shifted its attention to Benjamin Sesko, no longer wanting to negotiate with Gyokeres.
