[Saba Sports News] Despite the conclusion of the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix, the Haas F1 Team was initially unable to leave the Netherlands due to a sponsorship dispute with former title sponsor Uralkali. Earlier this year, the Swiss Arbitration Center ruled that the Haas F1 Team must pay Uralkali $12 million and provide a 2021 F1 car. However, there was uncertainty regarding the payment status. Haas claimed to have completed the transfer last Friday, but Uralkali stated they had not received the payment. Due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, the American team faced difficulties in transferring funds to Russia. As a result, the Haas team’s assets were seized, and even team owner Gene Haas was barred from leaving the Netherlands. On Sunday evening, the Haas freight trucks were stranded in the Netherlands, awaiting payment confirmation. In a recent interview, Gene Haas stated that the issue involving the 2021 Haas car included in the repayment had been resolved, and the team had been cleared by Dutch authorities to proceed to Monza to prepare for the upcoming Italian Grand Prix.
