[Saba Sports News] Bol /ccording to Keith Smith of Spotrac, the Suns have signed guard David Stockton, son of Hall of Fame point guard John Stockton, to an Exhibit 10 contract.
David, 33, followed in his father’s footsteps by playing at Gonzaga but went undrafted in 2014. Since then, he’s had a journeyman career, playing for teams like the Sacramento Kings, Utah Jazz, multiple G League teams, and overseas in countries like Croatia, Germany, and Puerto Rico.
Last season, he played in Puerto Rico’s Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), where he led the league in assists in 2021.
His father, John Stockton, famously spent 19 seasons with the Jazz, made 10 NBA All-Star teams, and still holds the NBA records for assists and steals. Now, David joins a Suns team that has recently welcomed other notable second-generation players.
