[Saba Sports News] Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton burst forth rarely after the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix, bluntly stating that “most of the time I just want the race to end quickly,” targeting the legendary track’s competitive value. Despite the FIA mandating a two-stop rule, the monotony of the Monaco Grand Prix persisted. Hamilton complained to the media: “I overtook a few cars, but essentially I was just moving along with the flow, the entire race felt like driving a simulator alone.” The British driver also revealed that he used two hard tires in the race in an attempt to break the deadlock, but the strategy failed. Data shows that Hamilton completed only two effective overtakes in the 78 laps, with his fastest lap time just 1.2 seconds slower than winner Lando Norris’. Regarding the controversy over whether Monaco should remain on the calendar, Hamilton commented: “These years have basically seen no change.” His remarks received covert support from several drivers. Red Bull team advisor Helmut Marko revealed that heart rates of drivers were generally lower than other races during the main event.
