[Saba Sports News] Chris Bosh hadn’t played professional basketball since 2016, but on Saturday, Miami Heat fans got to see him back on the court for the first time in nearly a decade.
Bosh was among several stars participating in Goran Dragic’s farewell game at Stozice Arena in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The “Night of the Dragon” event celebrated Dragic’s 15-year NBA career.
In the mid-2010s, Bosh and Dragic were seen as the Heat’s star duo after LeBron James left in 2014. However, Bosh’s career was cut short due to a serious blood clot issue.
On Saturday, the former Heat teammates reunited on the court alongside big names like Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Luka Doncic, and Nikola Jokic. Although Bosh didn’t get much playing time due to the deep rosters, he managed to score his first points in eight years.
The moment stirred a lot of emotions among Heat fans on social media. Bosh finished with two points as his team defeated Team Luka 106-86. Dragic led Team Gogi with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists.
