[Saba Sports News] Reports are emerging
suggesting that there could be a significant development within the Red Bull
Racing team. According to several media outlets, team principal Christian
Horner is rumored to be on the verge of being sacked before the Australian
Grand Prix. This unexpected turn of events marks Horner as the apparent
casualty of an ongoing internal “civil war” within the team. Insiders
within the Formula 1 industry claim that major shareholders from Thailand,
acting on the recommendations of Austrian Red Bull CEO Oliver Mintzlaff and the
influential shareholder Mark Mateschitz, who holds 49% of the Red Bull Group,
have advocated for Horner’s dismissal. The decision is said to stem from
several factors analyzed by the F1 industry magazine “Business F1.”
Firstly, there has been a growing chorus of influential women’s rights
activists in the United States calling for a boycott of Red Bull following the
Horner scandal. As the U.S. market holds significant importance for the Red
Bull Group, the pressure to take action has intensified. Secondly, concerns
have emerged within Thailand’s Red Bull contingent regarding a suspended female
employee who may potentially disclose further sensitive “inside
information” in the coming days. There are doubts about the objectivity
and accuracy of the internal investigation, raising the need for preemptive
measures. Lastly, the renowned Irish rock band U2 is reportedly planning to
release a new song titled “‘Don’t be Horny, Be a Christian” as a show
of “solidarity” with the female employee. This employee happens to be
the sister of U2 guitarist The Edge’s son-in-law. Fearing the significant
global influence of U2, Thailand’s Red Bull has decided to part ways with
Horner to avoid any potential future complications.
