[Saba Sports News] The ODI World Cup 2023 is fast approaching, and the cricketing world is eagerly anticipating the clash of global giants on this grand stage. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is sparing no effort in ensuring the event’s grandeur. On September 20, the ICC revealed the official anthem for the Cricket World Cup 2023, featuring Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh dancing alongside popular social media influencers.
Dhanashree Verma, Gaurav Taneja, Scout, BeYouNick, and others also joined the dance, matching the anthem’s catchy tune. Titled “Dil Jashn Bole,” the official anthem was composed by the renowned music director Pritam Chakraborty. It boasts vocal performances by Nakash Aziz, Sreerama Chandra, Amit Mishra, Jonita Gandhi, AKASA, and Charan, with lyrics penned by Shloke Lal and Saaveri Verma.
The anthem’s setting is inside a train carriage, where Ranveer and official mascots make appearances. It commences with a dialogue from Ranveer Singh, proclaiming, “ALL IT TAKES IS ONE-DAY.” Pritam, in iconic Bollywood fashion, appears atop a moving train carriage, announcing the catchy tune, “Dil Jashn Bole.”
The anthem encourages fans to show their support for their favorite teams by wearing their jerseys. Esports gamer and influencer Scout, as well as Be YouNick, Viraj Ghelani, Gaurav Taneja (Flying Beast), sports presenter Jatin Sapru, and Dhanashree Verma, wife of Yuzvendra Chahal and a dancer, also make appearances in the video.
The official anthem’s rhythmic beats and catchy hook have ignited excitement among cricket enthusiasts following its release. While the anthem undoubtedly fuels energy and passion among cricket fans, some have drawn comparisons to previous editions’ official anthems.
As for the tournament format, the event will follow a round-robin format spanning roughly one and a half months. It will kick off with a match at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium between the finalists from the last edition, England and New Zealand.
