[Saba Sports News] According to British
media reports, Dave Brailsford, an executive of the Ineos Group, will resign
from his position as head of the cycling team to focus on Manchester United
after Jim Ratcliffe takes over as the owner of the football club. Dave
Brailsford is a co-founder of Team Sky, which was established in 2009. In 2019,
Ratcliffe acquired the team and renamed it Team INEOS, with Brailsford
continuing to serve as the team principal. Additionally, Brailsford took on the
role of sports director for the Ineos Group, overseeing investment affairs in
various sports such as football, Formula 1, sailing, and rugby. He was also
responsible for conducting audits for the club after INEOS acquired Nice. It is
now reported that Brailsford will shift his focus to Manchester United and
assume the same role there. He will also join the board of directors for the
football club in the future. Consequently, he will step down from his position
as head of the cycling team.
