[Saba Sports News] According to Italian media reports, following the murder of an extreme fan of Inter Milan last September, several people were arrested, and prosecutors have charged the extreme fan group with mafia-related crimes. Simone Inzaghi and Hakan Calhanoglu, who previously had interactions with some extreme fan leaders, attended a court hearing recently to clarify the situation. Inter Milan’s extreme fan leader Marco Ferdico had requested more tickets before the 2023 Champions League final. When Inzaghi was asked whether he acted as an intermediary to convey Ferdico’s request to the Inter Milan club, Inzaghi responded, “Yes. I remember discussing this with someone in the club’s management after speaking to him on the phone. I wanted this matter to be resolved positively because I needed the support and cheers of the fans to win the Champions League final in Istanbul. I later sent a message to Marco Ferdico, informing him that I had done my part.” Çalhanoğlu also admitted to having private contact with Ferdico during the hearing.
