Lawson overtook Tsunoda after a pit stop with new medium tires, which greatly displeased Tsunoda. He angrily questioned his race engineer over the team radio about why this situation occurred. Lawson expressed confusion regarding Tsunoda’s criticism, stating he completely did not understand what Tsunoda had to complain about. Tsunoda blamed his failure to score points on Lawson, claiming Lawson’s actions were detrimental to him. Lawson, however, had a different interpretation of the same event, believing that Tsunoda moved across on him in the braking zone, causing him to nearly run off the track. The editor believes this indicates there might be some issues within the team regarding strategy communication and execution, where drivers may not fully understand the intent and reasoning behind strategies, leading to misunderstandings and conflicts between them. If the team cannot resolve these issues promptly, it could affect the trust between the drivers and team cohesion, thereby impacting the entire team’s performance in races.
