[Saba Sports News] Isaiah Thomas is still struggling to find a spot in the NBA but remains hopeful. He believes he can still compete at a high level and aims to play for another two to three years before focusing on his family.
“I just want to play two or three more years and then focus on my kids. That’s the ultimate goal, and I’ll keep fighting until the end… I still feel the same excitement going to the gym as I did when I was a kid. When that feeling fades, it’s time to move on.”
Though confident, Thomas faces long odds. After being out of the league for nearly two years, he had a brief stint with the Phoenix Suns last season but averaged just 1.3 points and 0.5 assists in limited minutes.
He may need to return to the G League, where he previously averaged 32.5 points, hoping to earn another shot in the NBA.
