[Saba Sports News] The mystery around India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan continued is getting even more twisted every day.
It all started with Kishan making himself unavailable for the South Africa Test series in December 2023. He was then not picked for the T20I series against Afghanistan as well as the home Tests against England with India head coach Dravid informing that Kishan has not made himself available yet.
While Dravid also stated that the Kishan would have to play competitive cricket to get considered for India selection, the southpaw is yet to feature in the ongoing Ranji Trophy season for Jharkhand and will miss the match against Haryana, commencing on February 9.
Adding another layer to the story, Cricbuzz has reported that Kishan was training with Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya at the Kiran More Academy in Baroda. Kiran More confirmed this development himself.
Hardik came back to Mumbai Indians, replacing Rohit Sharma as their captain ahead of IPL 2024. He had a successful two-season stint with Gujarat Titans, leading the franchise to the title in their debut season.
It is now expected that Kishan will mark his return in the upcoming IPL season only for Mumbai Indians.
