[Saba Sports News] Jayson Tatum finally earned the right to flex on the rest of the NBA and wasted no time during the Boston Celtics’ championship celebration on Friday.
Before boarding the duck boats for the victory parade, Tatum was interviewed by Brian Scalabrine of NBC Sports Boston. The five-time All-Star was asked about celebrating the NBA title in Miami after Game 5 and whether that trip was “a little sweeter” than past ones.
Tatum smiled and replied that trips to Miami are “always easy.” It’s a comment he likely wouldn’t have made a year ago, considering the Celtics lost to the Heat in seven games in the Eastern Conference Finals last season, despite playing better on the road.
Between his shot at the Heat and his recent social media post, it seems Tatum is very relieved to have finally overcome that hurdle.
