[Saba Sports News] There have been ongoing rumors that the Utah Jazz might be open to trading center Walker Kessler if the right offer comes along, and they might be more motivated to make a move than previously thought.
According to Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, the Jazz have included Kessler in trade discussions and he doesn’t seem to be a part of their long-term plans. The team even mentioned him in stalled trade talks with the New York Knicks, though nothing materialized.
While the Jazz may be open to trading Kessler, they won’t give him up easily. Previous reports indicated that the Jazz were asking for a high price, possibly two first-round picks, if Kessler isn’t in their future plans.
Kessler was a standout rookie for the Jazz, averaging 9.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game in 2022-23. Although his stats dipped last season, he still holds significant value, having finished in the top three for Rookie of the Year and with two years remaining on his rookie contract.
