[Saba Sports News] Miami Heat had high hopes of landing Damian Lillard ever since he requested a trade. However, on Wednesday, he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, leaving the Heat without their coveted acquisition.
Heat’s star Jimmy Butler swiftly responded to the news, humorously suggesting that the NBA should investigate the Bucks for tampering. He said, “Yo NBA, man, y’all need to look into the Bucks for tampering. Y’all do. Just gonna put that out there. Y’all didn’t hear it from me, but I heard it through somebody.”
It’s important to note that there’s no evidence of tampering in the Lillard trade. Lillard had expressed his desire to be traded to Miami, but the Blazers opted for a different deal, seemingly uninterested in what the Heat had to offer.
This turn of events is undoubtedly disappointing for Butler and the Heat, as they now face the prospect of continuing with a roster largely similar to the previous season.
