[Saba Sports News] Joakim Noah fondly recalls his NBA career, but there’s one aspect he definitely doesn’t miss—the drug tests.
During an appearance on the *All The Smoke* podcast, Noah discussed the awkwardness of the NBA’s testing process when asked by host Matt Barnes.
“You get piss tested all the time, and there’s a guy just staring at your d*** to make sure it’s you peeing,” Noah said. “The ‘d*** watchers’… it’s the worst. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.”
Barnes joked that the way the testers watched him made him feel like they enjoyed it. While their focus may seem excessive, it’s a necessary part of the process to prevent players from cheating the system.
Barnes, who failed tests in 2007 and 2014 due to marijuana, avoided further penalties.
Noah himself was suspended for 20 games in 2017 after testing positive for LGD-4033, a banned substance. He attributed it to a supplement he was taking while recovering from an injury.
