[Saba Sports News] Recently, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) released the latest world rankings. The South Korean men’s doubles pair, Kim Won Ho / Seo Seung Jae, achieved a historic high of 114,805 points in the men’s doubles ranking – the highest score across all five categories this week. It is worth noting that Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae only began partnering at the start of this year. Last month, they broke the men’s doubles ranking world record three times, making them the most notable doubles pair of the international badminton season. At last week’s Korea Open, Kim Won Ho / Seo Seung Jae defeated all competitors to claim their eighth international title of the season. Their outstanding performance at the Korea Open earned them 9,200 championship points, raising their world ranking points from 113,005 to 114,805, thereby breaking the men’s doubles “world record” for the third time. From September 2 to September 30, Kim Won Ho / Seo Seung Jae broke the men’s doubles ranking “world record” once and raised the original record by a total of 8,202 points over three updates. There are still three high-point tournaments remaining this season in international badminton: this month’s Denmark and France Super 750 events and the BWF World Tour Finals in December. Kim Won Ho / Seo Seung Jae have the potential to raise the men’s doubles “world record” to new heights. Let’s wait and see!
