[Saba Sports News] Coach Niko Kovac took Borussia Dortmund from 11th place to 4th place in just four months on the job, successfully achieving the club’s goal of securing a spot in next season’s Champions League. According to German media reports, Kovac will receive an additional bonus as a result, but Dortmund’s management has yet to give a clear indication regarding renewal talks. Therefore, by rights, the early renewal of his contract until 2026 should already be a formality, yet Dortmund’s management remains hesitant about Kovac’s new contract. It is reported that Kovac’s capabilities are equally highly regarded in England, with Tottenham Hotspur showing interest in him, but this is not an issue for Kovac right now; he just wants to enjoy a two-week vacation first. His relaxation plan is already in place: attend church on Sunday morning, then fly to Salzburg to reunite with his family. Before starting preparations for the Club World Cup in early June, he plans to recharge his energy there. One thing that made this vacation even more enjoyable was that leading Borussia Dortmund into the Champions League earned Kovac a special bonus of €750,000. After such a thrilling end to the Bundesliga season, he truly deserves this bonus.
