[Saba Sports News] More financial trouble appears to be mounting for former NBA star Lamar Odom.
According to a report from Whitney Vasquez of the New York Post, Odom is being sued by the landlord of his Los Angeles rental home for allegedly failing to pay $45,000 in back rent.
The lawsuit states that Odom entered into a month-to-month lease at a luxury Studio City mansion in December 2024, agreeing to pay $15,000 per month. However, he reportedly missed payments from January through March 2025, despite receiving multiple notices.
As a result, the sublessor, Executive Recovery Group, Inc., is not only seeking the unpaid rent but is also suing for eviction, attorney’s fees, and damages.
Odom, now 45, played in the NBA from 1999 to 2013, winning two championships and a Sixth Man of the Year award with the Los Angeles Lakers. Over his career, he earned an estimated $114.2 million in salary, according to Spotrac.
Since retiring, however, Odom has faced a series of legal and personal challenges — including lawsuits over unpaid child support and car payments, a car crash in 2023, and a widely publicized purchase of a Khloe Kardashian-inspired adult doll in 2024.
