[Saba Sports News] Last weekend’s Las Vegas Grand Prix saw a notable incident during the race. Red Bull Racing’s Liam Lawson was unfortunately involved in a collision with McLaren’s Oscar Piastri. Lawson had to pit for a new front wing, which dropped him to last place. Afterwards, he posted an apology, stating: “Apologies to the team, Turn 1 was just extremely slippery. I braked and the car in front suddenly slowed down, and I had nowhere to go.” He also mentioned that the car had good pace this weekend and that both team cars initially had the opportunity to score points. Considering their starting positions, the final race outcome was particularly regrettable. In our opinion, Lawson’s apology demonstrates his sense of responsibility towards the team. Starting from sixth position, it was a prime opportunity for the team to score valuable points. After the crash, he did not make excuses but proactively expressed his regret to the team. This attitude helps mitigate negative emotions within the team and aligns with the professional standards expected of an F1 driver.
