[Saba Sports News] LeBron James is fully embracing his “get off my lawn” phase.
The Lakers star took to X on Wednesday to vent about the team’s preseason schedule. After hosting the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, the Lakers are now headed to Milwaukee for a single road game against the Bucks on Thursday, before flying back to face Golden State at home next Tuesday.
“Can someone please explain to me why we’re getting on a ✈️ and heading to Milwaukee for 1 pre-season game!?!?” LeBron posted.
This marks the Lakers’ first preseason trip to face an Eastern Conference team since 2019. Typically, they stay in California, occasionally playing nearby teams like the Kings or Warriors. In recent years, their longest preseason road trip has been to Phoenix for a matchup with the Suns.
While a quick trip to Milwaukee might seem minor, it’s not exactly routine for a star like LeBron, especially as he nears 40. Other top teams have even had to play preseason games overseas in recent years, including in Abu Dhabi and Japan (the Lakers themselves traveled to China for a pair of games in 2019).
Lately, LeBron has been on a roll with social media complaints. Just days ago, he called out a report on why he joined the Lakers.
