[Saba Sports News] LeBron James was all smiles after hearing that his longtime friend Carmelo Anthony is officially heading to the Hall of Fame.
Anthony was informed Wednesday that he’ll be inducted as a first-ballot selection into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. LeBron, who’s shared a close bond with Anthony since they entered the NBA together in 2003, couldn’t contain his excitement. He posted a celebratory message on X, writing, “CONGRATULATIONS MY BROTHER!” — complete with a flurry of emojis.
Anthony was a no-brainer for the Hall. Despite never capturing an NBA title, he averaged 22.5 points over a 19-year career and earned six All-NBA selections.
LeBron and Melo briefly teamed up on the Lakers during the 2021–22 season—Anthony’s final year in the league. With LeBron still active, he’ll eventually join Anthony in the Hall, but for now, he’s just enjoying the ride and celebrating his brother’s well-deserved honor.
