[Saba Sports News] The 2025 BWF World Championships will be held in Paris, France, from August 25 to 31, 2025. Recently, the Chinese badminton team departed for Paris to compete in the World Championships. Men’s doubles players Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang posted a joint photo on their personal social media accounts, encouraging each other and hoping to achieve better results in their trip to Paris. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Liang-Wang pair won the silver medal. After the Paris Olympics, the pair received a lot of attention, but their performance has been fluctuating. They have yet to stand on the top podium at any high-level BWF event this year. However, recently, they have shown signs of improvement, reaching the semifinals at the Asian Championships and also making it to the semifinals at the China Open. This World Championship is the second time the “Liang-Wang” pair has competed in the World Championships. However, due to their inconsistent performance over the past year, they are no longer considered favorites for the men’s doubles title. This may help them reduce pressure and approach the upcoming challenges with a calmer mindset. When interviewed, Liang Weikeng said, “When we left Paris last year, we made a promise to come back here one year later. Now that the competition is coming, we will do our best.” Wang Chang added, “It’s great to be back in Paris. We are very excited and have made more thorough preparations.”
