[Saba Sports News] On July 22, Liang Weikeng was repeatedly photographed with flashlights by multiple fans at the airport, causing him discomfort and an expression of frustration. According to eyewitnesses, Liang “walked unsteadily and was surrounded,” and finally showed his irritation, which sparked online discussions about the boundaries of fan behavior. The topic #Liang Weikeng’s Small Outburst# quickly climbed to the top of the Weibo. Many netizens criticized such behavior, stating that “flashlights impair vision and interfere with rest,” and called for protection of athletes’ private space. Earlier, Liang Weikeng responded to the “Fan Circle Governance” policy issued by the Chinese State General Administration of Sports by dissolving his Weibo fan group. In the view of the editor, the incident essentially reflects the conflict between athlete rights and fan behavior. Liang’s “small outburst” was actually an expression of long-term annoyance, contrasting with his strong performance on the field. It further highlights the limited tolerance athletes have for fans. As one fan put it: “The way to love him is to let him quietly walk toward the podium.”
