[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, the Liverpool Fans Committee strongly opposes the club’s price increase policy and plans to meet with club executives to discuss ticket prices for the 2025/26 season. Reports indicate that the Liverpool Fans Committee has written to Executive Director Hughes, requesting a reduction in the prices of regular match tickets and season tickets. Previously, fans protested during a Europa League match due to a 2% price increase. Although Liverpool’s CEO Hogan explained that utility costs have increased by 100% over the past year and operational costs have risen significantly over nine years, fans insist that raising ticket prices during a cost of living crisis is counterproductive and may hinder traditional fans from attending matches, undermining the culture the club has built over the years. Liverpool has long been known for its strong community culture, where fans are not just part of the club but also its spirit’s continuators. For many, watching a match is not just about enjoying football; it’s an opportunity to spend time with friends and family and create wonderful memories. Through this protest, fans conveyed an important message to the club: real football should be accessible to everyone who loves it, not a luxury for the elite.
