[Saba Sports News] In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, Liverpool secured a resounding 4-0 home victory over Galatasaray, completing a 4-1 aggregate comeback to advance to the quarter-finals. During the match, visiting player Noa Lang collided with the advertising hoardings while challenging for the ball near the byline, sustaining a hand injury. After receiving on-site medical treatment, Lang was carried off the pitch. In the 75th minute, Noa Lang accidentally fell when contesting possession with Curtis Jones, then crashed into the sideline advertising hoardings, with his thumb appearing to become trapped in the gap between the hoarding panels. Lang clutched his right hand in agony, with a deep, bleeding wound visible. He was given oxygen by the team doctor before being stretchered off. His screams of pain could be clearly heard in footage shot from the stands, shocking all spectators who witnessed the injury. When Lang was lifted, his entire right hand was seen tightly wrapped in thick white bandages, with blood seeping through the dressing. That night, Liverpool staff inspected the area where Noa Lang sustained his injury.
The editor believes that this incident has raised concerns about stadium safety among the public. Sometimes an inconspicuous detail on the pitch can lead to serious consequences. I wish Noa Lang a speedy return to the pitch.
