[Saba Sports News] According to German media reports, Bayern Munich winger Luis Díaz has had custom diamond-encrusted mouthguards made in Colombia. One is set with 12 small diamonds, and the other features 17 cut diamonds. Díaz enjoyed an outstanding debut season with Bayern Munich. Across 51 official appearances, he scored 26 goals and provided 23 assists, emerging as a pivotal player for Vincent Kompany’s side as they secured a domestic double. It is reported that Díaz ordered the custom mouthguards ahead of the World Cup. His dentist Zabaleta shared photos of the finished pieces on Instagram. During the Bundesliga title celebration roughly two weeks ago, his Bayern teammates Michael Olise and Alphonso Davies were also spotted wearing diamond mouthguards on the pitch. This accessory has also been worn by Real Madrid stars Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Éder Militão.
The editor believes that such diamond-studded mouthguards surely come with a hefty price tag, but it is no big deal for Luis Díaz. Next up, Díaz will represent Colombia at the World Cup. Colombia have been drawn alongside Uzbekistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Portugal in the group stage.
