[Saba Sports News] Luka Doncic is staying quiet about any potential trash talk from Sunday’s game.
Doncic scored 33 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and made 5 steals as his Dallas Mavericks defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-107 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The win gave Dallas a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Late in the game, Doncic approached Anthony Edwards and said something to the Timberwolves star.
During his postgame interview with TNT’s Allie LaForce, Doncic was asked about his words to Edwards. Doncic remained tight-lipped, saying, “I can’t say.” He also agreed that the comments were not suitable for TV audiences.
Doncic had previously engaged in serious trash talk with Rudy Gobert after his game-winning shot in Game 2, and he likely wanted to avoid similar attention.
Doncic’s Mavericks will aim for a sweep in Game 4 at home on Tuesday. No NBA team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in the playoffs.
