[Saba Sports News] The Dallas Mavericks secured a win in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals on Friday, but not without surviving a final three-point attempt by Naz Reid. For Luka Doncic, it was a nerve-wracking moment.
Doncic admitted after the game that Reid’s shot had looked “too good” and that he had “almost passed out” when it went up. “I wasn’t thinking. I almost passed out,” Doncic said, head in hands. “That was looking good — too good. He couldn’t miss today.”
Reid, who made 7-of-9 from three in Game 2, missed the buzzer-beater despite a good look. Doncic, who was fired up after hitting the go-ahead three, was visibly relieved when Reid’s shot missed, allowing the Mavericks to hold on for the win.
