[Saba Sports News] Recently, Manchester City officially announced a new 10-year contract with Erling Haaland, lasting until the summer of 2034. According to British media reports, the pre-tax total salary of Haaland’s new contract is £260 million, with a daily wage of approximately £71,000, an hourly wage of about £3,000, and a per-second wage of about 83 pence. Reports indicate that the UK’s minimum hourly wage rose to £12.21 in April, meaning Haaland can earn this amount in just 15 seconds. He can earn the price of a pint of beer in 6 seconds and could buy a new Ferrari Portofino M convertible in less than two and a half days. The new contract between Manchester City and Haaland starts from the beginning of this season, meaning that City will pay Haaland a back salary of £3.25 million from the start of the season until now. The announcement of Haaland’s contract extension until 2034 makes him the highest-paid player in the Premier League. However, Spanish media have stated that despite Haaland signing a long contract, it does not mean there won’t be changes in the future. It is reported that Haaland’s team has formulated a plan based on the contract, which is not a buyout clause and has no expiration date; if an interesting offer arises, he can use this plan to leave Manchester City, thus the player still holds the key to his future.
