[Saba Sports News] Recently, Manchester City officially announced the expansion plan for the North Stand of the Etihad Stadium. After completion, the capacity of the Etihad Stadium will exceed 60,000 seats, with a variety of seating options available in the North Stand. This includes at least 3,000 standing seats, with potential for further expansion if demand increases. The new stand will also feature a family area and a designated ticket section for young fans aged 21 and under. To meet diverse fan needs, the lower tier of the North Stand will introduce new amenities such as rest areas and alcohol-free zones. Premium seating areas will include a gourmet area for 500 people, an upscale bar for approximately 300 people, and a sky bar overlooking the pitch. These new facilities aim to enhance match-day atmosphere and viewing experience. The North Stand expansion is part of the Etihad Campus entertainment destination development plan. The entire project will also include a stadium rooftop walk experience and a City Square fan zone accommodating 3,000 people. It is reported that this expansion plan was formulated after long-term consultations with fans, aiming to create the best viewing experience and foster an exciting atmosphere. By adding standing areas and diverse facilities, Manchester City hopes to attract more young fans and lay a solid foundation for the club’s future development.
