plans to construct a £10 million training base specifically for their women’s
football team. Currently, the Manchester City Women’s Football Team and the
Manchester City Youth Academy Team share a training facility. However, the club
is committed to building a separate training base for the women’s team,
mirroring the facilities provided for the men’s first team. The goal is to have
the new training base ready for official use by 2025. If the plans are
approved, the training base will include various amenities such as a
hydrotherapy area, a high-performance gym, and analysis rooms, all aimed at
supporting the development of the women’s team. The decision to build a
dedicated training base for the women’s team comes after Manchester City became
the first club in the Women’s Premier League to secure naming rights for their
stadium. The women’s home ground, previously known as the City College Stadium,
was renamed the Joy Stadium at the start of this season. The move to invest in
a separate training base for the women’s team highlights Manchester City’s
commitment to developing and supporting women’s football. It is seen as another
demonstration of the club’s well-regarded management within the Premier League.
