[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester United has enlisted internet personality Angry Ginge to help launch its new third kit, whose design is inspired by the famous Salford Lads Club. The content creator and I’m a Celebrity winner is a well-known Manchester United supporter and hails from Salford, home to the iconic landmark and just a short distance from Old Trafford. He was spotted last week filming promotional content in the area alongside several first-team players, including Matheus Cunha, Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martínez. Third kits are usually unveiled in late summer ahead of the new season. However, insiders have revealed that this edition will feature a tribute to the Lads Club emblem, which appeared on the inner sleeve of The Smiths’ 1986 album The Queen Is Dead. Set against a green background, the emblem displays two red roses of Lancashire, adorning the entrance of the red-brick building.
The editor believes that these colourways are expected to feature on the adidas-made kit. The club officially hopes its sales performance can match that of this season’s black jersey, which was designed based on the club’s shirt worn between 1993 and 1995.
