[Saba Sports News] According to British media, Manchester United fans have written to club CEO Omar Berrada, stating that the recently announced ticket price hikes are “shameful.” Reports indicate that the Manchester United Supporters’ Trust (MUST), Fan Advisory Board (FAB), and the Fan Forum are pressuring the Manchester United football leadership to change the ticket pricing policy. Manchester United plans to raise ticket prices for remaining matches at Old Trafford to over £66. These groups claim that the price increase announced on Tuesday night without prior consultation is a disgraceful blow to young fans, who will not receive any discounts. The letter sent to Berrada also emphasized that making these changes unilaterally undermines fan involvement in club policy-making, violating Premier League requirements. From now until the end of the season, the price increase will affect all who wish to purchase home tickets, and this is also a result of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s determination to increase revenue to comply with financial regulations. However, MUST claims that this move offers only “meager returns.”
