[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester United may build a new stadium. Currently, the Old Trafford redevelopment working group has completed a preliminary feasibility study for the new stadium, which could catalyze social and economic development in the surrounding area. It is understood that the working group has provided a report to the Greater Manchester Authority and the Trafford Council executive. Their vision is to develop the stadium into a world-class sports facility, with preliminary findings indicating that this project could generate an additional £7.3 billion in revenue and provide over 90,000 jobs. The working group determined that redeveloping Old Trafford could increase the original seating capacity to 87,000, while the new stadium could accommodate 100,000 seats. Both options are under consideration, and the club is expected to make a decision before the summer. As part of the feasibility study, the working group also surveyed over 50,000 Manchester United fans, revealing that more than 90% of fans have a positive attitude toward creating a world-class stadium. The data also shows that 52% of fans support building a new stadium, 31% prefer redeveloping the existing stadium, and 17% are undecided.
