[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester United announced on their official website that the club will honour the victims of the Heaton Park Synagogue attack in all matches this weekend. The club stated: “Manchester United expresses its condolences to the Jewish community in Manchester,” following the incident that resulted in two fatalities and three individuals hospitalized with injuries. As a mark of respect, Manchester United’s men’s, women’s, U21, and U18 teams will all wear black armbands in their respective matches this weekend to mourn the victims. A minute of silence will be observed at the Progress Unity Stadium before the Manchester United Women’s match against Chelsea. Additionally, a similar moment of silence will be held at Old Trafford before the Premier League match between Manchester United and Sunderland. During the pre-match press conference ahead of the Sunderland game, Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim first addressed the attack that occurred in north Manchester this week: “We live in a crazy world now, where these things happen frequently. Of course, we express our sympathy for the victims and will pay tribute to them tomorrow, but the world is indeed crazy right now.”
