Sports News] According to reports from British media, Manchester United’s
canteen has had its food safety rating downgraded from level five to level one,
the lowest possible rating. This downgrade is a result of previous incidents of
food poisoning that occurred at Old Trafford. Several individuals reported
falling ill after consuming undercooked chicken at an event hosted by
Manchester United. Following the investigation into these incidents, the
British Food Standards Agency made the decision to adjust the club’s food
hygiene rating to level one, indicating that significant improvements are
needed in their hygiene practices. A spokesperson for Trafford Council
confirmed that Old Trafford’s food hygiene rating has indeed been downgraded
from level five to level one. The decision was made after a food hygiene
inspection was conducted following an incident on November 21, where Manchester
United served uncooked food. It is reported that Manchester United plans to
appeal against this decision. It would be interesting to hear the thoughts of
Manchester United fans regarding this development.
