[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, despite the Europa League dream being dashed in Bilbao, Manchester United has decided to proceed with the club’s barbecue party as scheduled, consistent with previous plans to celebrate a championship. There were earlier rumors suggesting that even if they won the Europa League, Manchester United would not have an opportunity for an open-top bus parade. This is because immediately after their final league game against Aston Villa on Sunday, the team will depart for Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong for post-season tours. Instead, a gathering will be arranged for players, staff, and their families at Carrington Training Ground. When they lost 0-1 to Tottenham Hotspur in the final, many believed the higher-ups would cancel the event. However, the club decided to continue hosting it, even though the entire team was enveloped in a low mood. It should be noted that Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim expressed that the team emotionally collapsed after the final loss: “Obviously, we are heartbroken by this defeat. We lost the last game of this tournament, rather than the entire journey. Looking at the whole match, we were the better side, but failing to score means failing to win.”
