[Saba Sports News] F1 McLaren Team has performed exceptionally well this season and currently sits at the top of the championship standings. Recently, McLaren CEO Zak Brown was asked whether he would consider hiring Christian Horner, the former Red Bull team principal who is currently unemployed. Brown stated that he had no such intention. He believes that, given Horner’s age and experience in the racing world, he is unlikely to step away from motorsport and might return to it in the future. However, McLaren is not his target, as the team’s management is very stable, and they are focused on winning the championship. During his 20 years at Red Bull, Horner led the team to eight driver titles and six constructor titles, especially helping Max Verstappen win four consecutive championships from 2021 to 2024. His ability in race strategy and resource management has been widely recognized. However, in 2025, Red Bull fired Horner due to the team’s declining competitiveness, revealing the limitations of his management style, which was overly reliant on star drivers rather than building a strong technical foundation.
