Sports News] According to a recent interview with Serie A AC Milan owner Gri
Caldinale, he expressed that he has been under unprecedented pressure since
acquiring the club. Caldinale, who is the current owner of AC Milan,
acknowledged that owning a football club is not a simple matter and that he
doesn’t approach the sports industry in the same way as other industries he has
been involved in the past. He mentioned feeling the pressure of ownership,
investment, and being responsible for debt capital, which has been a stressful
and exciting experience for him. Caldinale’s Redbird Capital reached a final
agreement with Elliott Group in June 2022 to acquire AC Milan, and the equity
transfer was completed on August 31. The total value of the acquisition was
reported to be 1.2 billion euros.
