[Saba Sports News] Premier League Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk, who was previously suspended for a suspected abnormal doping test, has not played since being banned last November. Recent local reports show him appearing in Ukraine, where he is participating in a film project. This marks his first public appearance after lying low for several months. Mudryk’s crossover into the film project is closely related to his current professional predicament. He hasn’t set foot on the pitch since November 2024 due to suspicious blood test results. Although he firmly denies taking banned substances, he remains in limbo, awaiting the results of the ‘B’ sample test, which will directly determine whether he can return to the field. The nearly year-long suspension has caused the market value of this once highly-touted young star to plummet almost to zero. Compared to peers focused solely on their sport, he has ample time for activities outside the game. In our editor’s opinion, this crossover seems more like Mudryk preparing a backup plan for his future, as his professional football career faces existential risk. Even if banned substance use was unintentional, he could face a 1-2 year suspension, likely causing him to miss his prime competitive years.
