[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media, Real Madrid is close to completing the renovation of the new Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, with an investment of 1.347 billion euros. In its 2024/25 financial report, the club revealed that as of June 30, 2025, the investment in the new Bernabeu stadium has reached 1.347 billion euros — a figure that is now very close to the project’s total budget. The project, which began in 2019, has achieved major structural milestones, including the roof, facade, and retractable pitch. In the past year, the development of commercial areas such as VIP zones, RM Experience, event hosting, catering services, and the new official store has accelerated. According to the club, these commercial activities are the main purpose of the renovation. The status of the loans used to fund most of the construction has also been updated. In November 2023, a credit line of 1.17 billion euros was fully secured. After several years of only paying interest, Real Madrid has started repaying principal: 15 million euros in the 2023/24 season and 23 million euros in the 2024/25 season. As of June 30, 2025, the remaining outstanding amount was 1.132 billion euros. For the 2025/26 season, the final work will focus on adjusting the catering space and improvements needed to reduce noise from concerts, a matter that has become particularly sensitive due to urban planning restrictions and complaints from local residents about noise from large events.
