The Nigerian forward has already made his mark with the team following his cup debut, to the extent that people are mistaking those who resemble him.
This was illustrated by the experience of Nigerian broadcaster Samhan, who, while wearing an Atlético Madrid jacket to buy Marca, was mistaken for his compatriot Lookman. He was not only asked for a photo but also requested to record a greeting video for a fan. Since joining Atlético Madrid in January, Lookman has made one appearance in the Copa del Rey, contributing one goal and one assist. At 28 years old, Lookman transferred from Atalanta to Atlético Madrid during the winter window, with Atlético paying a transfer fee of €35 million.
