[Saba Sports News] Recently, Lando Norris revealed that he would be “very happy” to follow Max Verstappen’s example and participate in other racing series after his F1 career ends. Previously, Verstappen drove a Porsche GT4 in the Nurburgring Endurance Series on the Nordschleife to obtain a license allowing him to drive GT3 cars at the “Green Hell”. This weekend, the four-time F1 world champion will make his GT3 racing debut driving a Ferrari 296 on the Nurburgring Nordschleife. Verstappen has long expressed his love for endurance racing. Before last weekend’s F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Verstappen’s Nurburgring adventures became a hot topic among F1 drivers. Norris revealed his considerable interest in sports car endurance racing. The McLaren driver might find it relatively easy to venture into this area, as McLaren plans to enter the 2027 World Endurance Championship and aims for victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Norris previously participated in the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2018 with Fernando Alonso and Phil Hanson, the year before he joined F1. Speaking about a potential future crossover, Norris said: “I’m really looking forward to it. I’m not going to be in F1 my whole life. I want to do other things, enjoy my life – try different things. I will enjoy my time in F1. Whether I do some other races alongside it at some point, I don’t know. Or maybe I’ll try other things after retiring from F1.”
