[Saba Sports News] Recently, Nottingham Forest officially announced that Portuguese manager Nuno Espirito Santo has been sacked! Nottingham Forest stated in their announcement: “Nottingham Forest Football Club confirms that, given recent circumstances, Nuno Espirito Santo has been relieved of his duties as head coach today. The club thanks Nuno for his contributions during his time at the City Ground, especially his key role in the 2024/25 season – a period that will forever be remembered as a significant chapter in the club’s history. As a central figure in last season’s successful campaign, he will always hold a special place in our journey.” Nuno took over Nottingham Forest in December 2023 when the team was 17th in the Premier League. Despite the club being deducted 4 points for financial violations, Nuno led the team to successfully avoid relegation. Last season, Nuno guided the team to 65 points, finishing seventh in the league and qualifying for the Europa Conference League, marking Nottingham Forest’s return to European competition after 30 years. In July of this year, Crystal Palace was relegated to the Europa Conference League due to violations of multi-club ownership rules, and Nottingham Forest was promoted to the Europa League. In the new Premier League season, Nottingham Forest started with 1 win, 1 draw, and 1 loss, earning 4 points and currently sitting in 10th place in the league table.
