[Saba Sports News] The Alpine F1 team announced that 20-year-old Estonian driver Paul Aron will replace Jack Doohan as the team’s reserve driver for the 2025 season. Currently, Paul Aron ranks fourth in F2 and is the second best rookie of the year, just behind Gabriel Bortoleto. Paul Aron secured pole position at the F2 Qatar Grand Prix. Excited about joining the Alpine F1 team, Aron stated that it is a great place, and he will do his utmost to train hard and strive to reach his full potential. Alpine’s executive advisor Flavio Briatore commented that F1 is currently undergoing a generational shift, with many young drivers entering the sport and making an impact. He believes Paul is one of those talents and looks forward to nurturing him into an outstanding F1 driver. Some fans noted that Aron’s becoming Alpine’s third driver is related to the team’s current principal, Oliver Oakes, who is the founder of the Hi-Tech team where Aron competed in F2.
