[Saba Sports News] During the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, Oscar Piastri was furious over the radio after Lando Norris completed an aggressive overtake involving contact. Within the US Grand Prix paddock, Piastri stated that during discussions with the McLaren team after the Singapore race weekend, his teammate “took responsibility” for the collision. Piastri said: “The talks were very productive for everyone involved. The conclusion was that what happened in Singapore is not the way we want to race as a team, and ultimately Lando took responsibility for it. So it’s in the past now, and the rules won’t change because of it. We have that framework in place for a reason, and there’s no reason to change it now. It’s been dealt with.” When asked what the consequences were that Norris referred to, Piastri replied: “I can’t say what the consequences are, that’s something for the team to know. Ultimately he’s taken responsibility for it and will be… there’s some form of punishment for it.”
